This study presents a previously unknown Roman inscription from the wider area of Zenica, which has formed part of the museum’s Archaeological Collection and permanent exhibition for approximately a decade. As is often the case with such finds, the precise circumstances of its recovery remain unknown, since the donors, private individuals, declined to provide further information. The inscription is a sepulchral monument erected by parents in memory of their deceased children, distinguished by the mention of the rare personal name Patasius of Greek origin and by the high quality of its epigraphic execution. On the basis of these characteristics, the monument is dated to the third century CE.
